A few photos from Sapa

OK then, as promised here are a few photos from our weekend in Sapa. This one is pretty typical of the rice fields cut into the mountainside :

This is us beside a river on one of our treks...

And this is June with a couple of the H'mong girls.

Absolutely stunning, and I mean the Rice Fields, not you two! Thanks for the continual updates, much more interesting than following Michael Palin around the World.

Hi June and Mark

It looks very beautiful and I am very impressed with your efficiency in posting the photos on so quickly, so that I can "virtually" join in your trip.

June - Can you please help settle a disagreement in Beattie Rise? And confirm or otherwise if the backpack that you have on in your photo before leaving is the only luggage you have taken with you

I wondered about that rucksack myself - there's barely room for the 3 bikinis and the hairdryer in there never mind the apparently endless range of vests...

I think the photo is a little misleading - the bag is a good size (55 litres) and I have 9 T-shirts; 3 shirts; 9 pairs of pants 2 rain jackets (brought my gortex one for South Anerica - regretting that already)3 shorts, 3 trousers, hair-dryer, endless toiletries and 2 pairs of shoes and only 2 bikinis! - thankfully I've not had to carry it more than 50m yet!

Hairdrier!!! At least you can use that on Mark's beard. How long will that be by the time you get home?
